Marcy Vander Meer, LMSW, CAADC
About Marcy
I believe in the power of genuine connection, and always hope to create that with my clients. I have always been passionate about creating open, nonjudgmental communication in my personal and professional life, and strive to create a comfortable space for individuals to experience this in session.
My experience has been varied because I have many treatment interests, but it all boils down to creating relationships with clients that promote healing. I have worked closely with individuals in various settings including crisis management in emergency rooms, outpatient therapy, residential treatment for addiction, college/university counseling, and adult foster care homes. Experience has taught me that the most valuable thing I can offer my clients is my time, energy, and empathy, and I work to help everyone feel safe to open up and tell their story.
My focus is often on empowering my clients to understand themselves and make the changes necessary to live their most authentic life. I would be honored to be able to walk with my clients through sometimes messy terrain toward a smoother path, whatever that means for them as an individual.
