About Steven
Steve is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Michigan. He earned his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Texas and he has extensive training and experience working in private practice, university counseling centers, community mental health, residential youth treatment and Veterans Affairs hospitals.
Steve provides evidence-based, individualized therapy for adults, adolescents and families. He takes a holistic and relational approach to counseling, helping clients thrive in all areas of life and empowering them to pursue meaning and purpose in their lives.
"I care deeply about the needs of military service members, veterans, law enforcement and first responders, as well as survivors of childhood trauma (including verbal, physical and sexual abuse and emotional neglect). My specialty is treating PTSD (including complex PTSD), moral injury, and attachment disorders. I find immense joy in building relationships with people and helping them heal from their trauma. I hope we get the chance to work together and I look forward to meeting with you soon!"
When not doing therapy, Steve enjoys training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), playing guitar and hanging out with family, friends and his cat, Mocha.
